CHRISTMAS GIFT

Over the years, Mrs. Keyes has sent to old and dear friends each year a very personal sort of message in the form of a short verse or article on some phase or other related to Christmas. It is these that have been collected for this small book- these and a few published pieces along the same line. There's a warm human quality as many of them are drawn from personal experience; some have that sense of place so characteristic of Mrs. Keyes' writing; a few are drawn from legends known in other parts of the world; and a very large percentage have a strong note of religious faith, only too often forgotten as actually the essence of the Christmas spirit. This should prove the answer to the need many feel for a gift that is more than a card for that treasured friend ""who has everything"".
