THERESE, SAINT OF A LITTLE WAY by Frances Parkinson Keyes

THERESE, SAINT OF A LITTLE WAY

By

Pub Date: March 17th, 1950
Publisher: Messner

A reissue of a book published originally under the title, Written in Heaven, with additional material based on new findings, and with a new prologue recounting the author's personal experience in writing this biography of a modern Saint, favorite of soldiers in the field. To many who would ordinarily pull away from a religious biography, this highly sentimentalized version of the life of Saint Therese of Lisieux will appeal for its dramatic incident and detailed description. Possibly a deeper spiritual quality might have resulted from more use of the Saint's own work, L'Histoire d'une Ame, but Mrs. Keyes' sense of identification with place and time and people, gained by living in Lisieux while gathering material, and her visionary experience there, will give a human touch that is surely popular. The publishers plan extensive promotion and advertising.
