THE GRACE OF GUADALUPE by Frances Parkinson Keyes

THE GRACE OF GUADALUPE

Lacking of necessity the fragile charm which characterized The Sublime Shepherdess and Written in Heaven, this story is marked by a rugged reverence befitting Juan Diego, the Indian widower to whom Her Grace appeared, and Don Fray Juan Zumarraga, first Bishop of Mexico, who fill the leading male roles. This gives the book a wider scope as it appeals to men as well as women, and another market, not to be forgotten, is that of the large Mexican tourist groups who visit the shrine at Guadalupe.
