THE TICKING CLOCK

Another lady-alone blunders into an escape pattern when Constance Dale comes to Westchester to inspect the enormous old house she has inherited. Her suspicions that it is occupied prove true when she finds a couple hiding and doping a little girl. She gets away with the child but is forced to return; the father gets his instructions for ransom; and Constance is able to return the girl and help catch the kidnapers. Nervous.
