THE GREEN LION

From Parnell to the close of the century in Ireland's countryside and the city of Kilkenny -- and the central character a lad at the turn of adolescence, worshipping Parnell and his memory. The boy has his way to make -- and there is some direct and implicit criticism of the educational methods of the Church. Moments on freshness and charm, but keyed for the most part, to those who are still ""a-wearing of the green."" Limited market, though author's name as biographer should help.
