JEANNE-MARIE COUNTS HER SHEEP by Francoise

JEANNE-MARIE COUNTS HER SHEEP

By

Publisher: Scribner

Report repeated from P. 58 as follows: ""A fanciful little counting book with imaginative illustrations by the author. Jeanne-Marie (sits under a tree) talks seriously to her Patapon and thinks of all the things she would be able to buy if Patapon had 1, 2, 3, etc. lambs. The dream lambs (which appear geometrically arranged in the pictures) reach the number of seven, or eight, nine or ten, and Jeanne-Marie imagines she could buy a little house. But Patapon has just one lamb and one pair of socks for Jeanne-Marie. The repetition and simplicity are effective in both pictures and text.
