BALANCE AND RHYTEM IN EXERCISE

Elementary school educators and physical education teachers as well as dance instructors will be interested in this Swedish import which states and works out a theory of modern physical education based on an appreciation of rhythm in movement. There are two series of graded lessons included for younger and older children in the elementary school. Each section comprised of a group of exercises for one daily program contains a discussion of the exercise for the teacher and suggested commands. The graceful sketches by Georg Lagerstedt illustrate each exercise. Although the reader might not subscribe to the program, there are plenty of new ideas.
