KIRKUS REVIEW

Simply outlined pictures filled in with lively alphabet-block colors, plus the simplest of texts (""Blocks in the box."" ""Blocks out of the box."" ""Baby in the box."" ""Fox""). Baby and fox get into the box, play with the blocks, then are joined by an ox. In a grand climax, all three arrange themselves precariously in the box, topple over, and ""knock down the blocks""; then it's time to clean up and say ""Bye-bye."" The antics of this amusing trio--along with Asch's inspired reiteration of sounds, words, and pictured forms in new combinations--are sure to delight babies and toddlers.
