BIG GOVERNMENT

A presentation- to the more general public -- of the findings of the Hoover Commission which made an analysis of the inefficiency and bureaucratic waste which have resulted from ""big government"". Although Gervasi claims to ""assess its merits and demerits"", there is not too much criticism here and the Hoover Commission Report stands pretty much on the evidence. From the reorganization of the executive branch including the Presidency, the archaic fiscal machinery, to the many reforms needed in housekeeping operations (supplies) , national resources, agriculture, transportation, government in business, health, education, the veterans, the post office, the Labor Department and the State Department, national security and global obligations,- there is the full proof that the growth of our government demands an equal modernization... Primarily for those active in or students of government- but important for informed citizens.
