KIRKUS REVIEW

Simon Lash and his penchant for American history, satisfactorily entangled in the Donner Party descendants, inheritance murder and melodrama. Heir trouble, with Lash at cross purposes with all suspects and clients and plenty of details about Donner Party history make this treasure-criminal hunt reading that snaps along. Gruber fans can count on sustained pace.
