KIRKUS REVIEW

Jim Ralls, famed in the West for fastness on the draw, searches for ten years for Rance Martindale in keeping a promise made to a dying friend. He gets involved in the range war between Boxed T and other ranches, refuses to take sides, and wins the enmity of both parties, the corrupt sheriff and some hired killers. Jail, double-crosses, and active threats of death do not deter Ralls in solving the mystery of Martindale and he survives all the bad men. Tough tactics, guns and gore in a rip-snorter.
