SKIING NATURALLY

This seems to me- a rank amateur- the best all around book for the inexperienced skiler. Frank Harper, well-known in the field, approaches it from the point of view of the hows along with the whys. He starts with equipment, urges physical fitness (and suggests three minutes a day as preliminary conditioning of muscles). Then he starts with practice on the level, and progresses to climbing, hills, touring. He presents the case against ski tows, and analyzes the steps to assurance on the slope. He outlines first aid procedure. And the line drawings diagram each successive step.
