KIRKUS REVIEW

Mary Louise Hogan, policeman's daughter and tomboy turned model is known as ""Mary the kook"" in the neighborhood. Everyone knows her. Less love her...which makes the investigation very interesting after Mary strikes her last pose...strangled. Two main suspects seem to be blackmailing each other: a collection man from a bookie operation and the local peeping. We may be feeling exceptionally intelligent today but we were way ahead of the cops on his one.
