KIRKUS REVIEW

A fleshtinted to bloodstained tracer takes private peeper, Johnny Liddell, from New York to New Orleans for a crime syndicate. Hired to find Brother Alfred whose well attended Temple is also a dop drop. Liddell is mussed up and crossed up in an investigation which extends from narcotics to prostitution to murder and returns him to New York for the final play-off. Redolent.
