KIRKUS REVIEW

Box 100 is the repository for welfare grievances -- if you can read them -- and this takes place among New York City's poorest and not so finest when Ross Franklin follows on up from the woman supposed to have cashed her welfare check twice to a missing million dollars worth -- some of which has fattened the bank account of a caseworker. You'll like Ross, you'll like his co-worker Roberta, and you'll like Mr. Leonard -- a new talent with a bang-on story, fresh, funny, sharp.
