I've wondered when these stories, popular through the South where readers of Hollands Magazine have been enjoying them, would appear in book form. Now here are the first three, in a single volume, telling the adventures of the little elf with the magic paint pots, and how he helps brighten the world with his paints. Fantasy with a realistic twist, well done, and illustrated by one of my favorites, Vera Neville. Good story teller material -- read aloud -- or second and third grade reading.
