KIRKUS REVIEW

A pay-off in the multiple doublecross for Jim Ellington as the tool of Addis and Brotherton, a prime pair of rascals, and as the catspaw of Hestor Johnson, sworn to avenge Brotherton for jilting her. Framed for death in Robbery, he is saved by Hestor and persuaded by her to kill Brotherton and Addis and add to their kitty. Successful, he is betrayed by Hestor as the law moves in. Tight.
