ONCE AROUND THE PARK

Fun and frolics in a latter-day Arabian Nights -- if you are in the mood. The cliff-hanging method for the adventures of Ali Baba Bates is used as taxi driver Joe tells parts of the story when he drives Professor Guileless here and there around New York City. The day's episodes are mulled over by Guileless' fellow academicians at night, with romantic languages and science moderated by the Bible. Joe saw the rope trick in India, Bates pursued it and they were hot with trouble as Sherry Zarty's father, Harry L. Raschid, steps in. Back in New York, Bates puts the rope trick to work, to earn money to return for Sherry, but she turns up ready for marriage. Her father's curse literally keeps Bates up in the air and threatens the possibility of a wedding, but Bates is towed to the altar and a honeymoon is worked out. A baby brings daddy around.
