KIRKUS REVIEW

Brains for hire Russell Ames tangles with the socially prominent bag and baggage field when he is hired by Barbara Eastwood to retrieve letters incriminating her fiance. Murder comes to Connecticut and, although hushed up, Ames carries on to tie in nightclubs, blackmail and pornographic pictures, tabbing and tailing until he proves snobbery doesn't pay. Fleshy.
