This includes public letters and papers, messages to Congress, executive orders, proclamations, fireside chats, public addresses, chronologically arranged so that they give focus to the constructive development of the president's foreign policy and policy of national defense since his inauguration. A reference book primarily, though one could wish for a more imaginative type of index. I tried to locate several half-remembered phrases, and found myself stymied by the bald factual index. The book is printed on surfaced paper, and is unnecessarily heavy.
