Home construction- not made too easy- but made possible for any willing and able man, this book, which charts costs and hours as well as operations, shows how anyone can build his own home-out of stone- for $6000 in one year's worth of Saturdays and Sundays. Believing that concrete- for the novice-is the only practicable process- this considers the lot, the plan, the tools and material to be bought- and then describes in working detail (with 150 line drawings) the building of the house; foundations, walls, rafters, installation of water service, plumbing, electrical wiring, partitions, and concrete flooring, heating and the septic system, on to the finishing touches... Even just on paper, this seems a little enterprising.
