MAGNIFICENT DELUSION by Fred G. Clark

MAGNIFICENT DELUSION

By

Publisher: Whittlesey

Some of this book is keyed by the Fortune Magazine polls, and the indications of the way America is thinking (or failing to think). But most of it is the author's plea to wake up before it is too late to the dangers of socializing business, of strangling initiative and ambition at the source, of failing to create new capital. He takes American society apart, discussing our system of education, of religion, of local politics; our blindness to what is happening while we crucify commerce on the cross of social conscience, and close our eyes to the end of democracy. There is no tie up with international programs and policy. Plenty of food for thought, and a sound alignment of the arguments against the New Deal.
