BARNYARD YEAR

The rural note is sounded here in a series of rather charmingly earthy poems about an upstate New York farm. A midsummer pasture, sheep shearing, a newborn pig, the veterinary, are just a few of the homely subjects treated with more enthusiasm than real poetic technique. For an audience of farm and country lovers, not a large one at that.
