INVESTIGATION HOLLYWOOD: Memoirs of Hollywood's Top Private Detective

Otash's lippy memoirs of his days as an undercover cop ""not on the take"" and as the head of his own private detective agency involve routine divorce dirt and some snappier capers such as arranging Jeffrey (King of Kings) Hunter's girlfriend's abortion in Spain--with Mrs. Hunter's approval. Otash has worked for top Hollywood lawyers (Jerry Geisler and others) and come into the tabloid limelight himself when his cases splashed the ink. This happens when your clients are Francis Sinatra, Judy Garland, Errol Flynn, Yma Sumac and similar celebs and when your love life includes Anita Ekberg as your private stock for over a year. There are run-ins with Winchell and mobster Mickey Cohen. And Sheilah Graham hires him to get the goods on her hubby ""Bow Wow"" (he gets a surfeit of evidence). Otash has the fastest ""fuck you"" west of the Rockies. No writer, certainly, but he serves steaming hors d'oeuvres.
