MR. TWINK AND THE JUNGLE GARDEN

Elusive and urbane as usual, the detective-cat Mr. Twink makes a return appearance (Mr. Twink and the Pirates 1959- J-364) along with his animal associates, Sergeant Boffer, the policeman's dog, and the rascal cat Captain Jake. The problem this time is the theft of a pigeon and a pallet. Mr. Twink's logic and Captain Jake's alibi focus interest elsewhere, namely the Jungle Garden and the unwelcome group of foxes inhabiting it. With courage, and intelligence, they rout the villains and retain for Mr. Twink the respected position he deserves. Strongly Sherlockian in atmosphere, this is also for those who enjoy a world of very verbal animals who converse on a fairly cerebral level.
