CRAB ISLAND

This unhappy hybrid, a confused combination of R.L. Stevenson and James Bond, is about the experiences of orphaned Benny, a castaway on Crab Island en route to Australia. To the former, Mrs. Hurt owes Black Beard (and his jingles) who roars ""Shrivel your tonsils"" or ""Addle your uvola."" (The spelling is here and he doesn't have any throat trouble.) To the latter, a scientist Professor with an electronic Niddy Nut. To neither, a nothing story in which Benny, and some children of assorted nationalities, try to retrieve and ransom Little Bobo with coins from a chest full of old silver.
