THE LITTLE MAGIC HORSE

This is a verse translation from the famous old Russian tale by Peter Pavlovich Ershoff, which has been loved by children in its home country and here in various versions. We know it in the Post Wheeler form as found in Phyllis Fenner's Here Was A Horse. The story itself is superb, the illustrations will probably be excellent, but we did not like the poetry at all.
