WE'RE STILL IN THE COUNTRY by Frederic F. Van de Water

WE'RE STILL IN THE COUNTRY

By

Publisher: Reynal & Hitchcock (John Day)

Picks up the threads of A Home in the Country (probably the most popular of its class). The Van de Waters, after surviving a winter, face the new year in their Vermont home. In simple, personal, homespun manner -- the round of the seasons, gardening, bee raising, fishing, walks with the dogs, yarns of Vermonters, harvesting and so on. A bit on the David Grayson side -- adventures in contentment in Vermont. Not an inspirational book, so much as a personal record, however.
