KIRKUS REVIEW

This is the 15th issue in Harper's Annotated Bible Series, and the sixth by Dr. Grant, Professor of New Testament at the Union Theological Seminary, New York. There is an introduction to the Epistle which is at the same time a clear and succinct introduction to the New Testament doctrines of the nature and world of Christ and the atonement, and superb critical notes for every chapter and verse which will provide the serious student with the best critical insight which modern scholarship affords. The Epistle to the Hebrews is one of the more difficult books of the New Testament, but Dr. Grant has brought the meaning of it within the grasp of any who will make a real effort to understand it.
