KIRKUS REVIEW

The newest in an excellent series, which sell to baseball fans everywhere, with native hearth sales predominating. It would seem that every ball team has an interesting history and this yarn of the Pirates tells of famous players like the great short-stop Honus Wagner, Fred Clarke, whose 1902 team beat second place Brooklyn, Barney Dreyfuss, immigrant who became owner of the club, and others outstanding in the fabulous history of Pittsburgh's ball team, from 1876 down to the present.
