THE ART OF BEING BEAUTIFUL AT ANY AGE
by ‧RELEASE DATE: May 21, 1975
Handsome is as handsome does and for the most part Dr. Shelmire's fine and faultless directives concern taking care of your skin through moisturization and protection via soaps and rinsable cleansers. You should also keep it away from the sun, dirt and all those chemicals to which we expose ourselves daily. Some of this information necessarily appeared in his 1973 The Art of Looking Younger; many of the same assets are here--he's direct; he names names (the good ones are Bain de Soleil Suntan Creme; Johnson's Baby Shampoo; a superfatted soap like Tone or Basis). You will learn that PSI has another meaning--Personal Skin Index--and if you take it, you can evaluate your own needs. All kinds of incidentals inform on varicose veins or depilatories or masques (useless) or gelatin for the nails (equally useless), etc., etc. It's a very good book that you can't judge by the cover which will frighten you out of your skin.
