KIRKUS REVIEW

Modern Western as strategic metal is the lure for murder, revenge and terrorization. Marlon, inheriting her brother's property, runs into doubledealing from the Sheriff and her landlord, learns that her brother's death was murder, is several times in danger before Red, a friend of her brother's, can help her. But they both land in traps and age only saved by a bluff older woman. Too much of the had-she-but-known school.
