THE FAR CRY

George Weaver, recovering from a nervous collapse, is haunted by the identity of a dead girl when he goes to live in the cabin from which she was killed in New Mexico. Through drink and growing irritation with his wife, he tracks down the events of the past, follows the leads to the girl's parents -- and later the murderer. And returns to discover that he knows, all too well, the girl he has been imagining. Subdued surprise.
