Eight SF stories are interspersed with eight short-short ""vignettes"" and combine to make a fantasy happy-talk in which the commonplace achieves a comic, and cosmic, distortion. Linotypes and printing, a water pistol filled with holy water, electricity demolished, a play on words, the geni theme,- are spaced off with a check on SF being real, insecticides being used on humans, another world's long night, a dog looking for his god, etc. Airy rather than scary.
