KIRKUS REVIEW

The folkeyness of Mr. Oursler's treatment of Bible stories -- familiar to parents through newspaper articles and radio and book versions of The Greatest Story is admirably suited to juvenile literature. This retelling of the life of Jesus in loving, reful. The author incorporates some dialogue and small, homey details with which the child is familiar, to shake off some of the strangeness of the story as it appears in the Bible. The result is simple, readable book, and no mysterious margins of theological interpretation frustrating for children. One of the best books of this type we have seen, but he sure your customer subscribes to the point of view represented here.
