STRANGE BUT TRUE BASEBALL STORIES

By

Pub Date: Sept. 30th, 1966
Publisher: Random House

This is the fourth title in the Little League Library and, although the publishers grade it at ages 10 through 14, it seems best suited to the confident readers in this age group. It is subtitled: Amusing, Amazing and Offbeat Moments in Baseball History and strangely but truly, this overworked field for baseball readers has yielded up a batch of really good stories that read like peanuts -- read one and you're likely to read them all. Mr. Bisher writes with a curve -- the stories come over with some excitement and include both major and minor league records and performers.
