KIRKUS REVIEW

The story of Marie Antoinette holds reasonably closely to known facts. One sees the young queen- pleasure loving yet sexually disillusioned and reluctant to recognize personal responsibility, the portrait of her is compassionate. Then the picture of the court and its machinations and the surge of revolution provide a background for the story of Marie, of Louis and of the gallant, selfless Fersen. Readable.
