A convert from one faith to another often becomes a grim-faced zealot, much more convinced that this new found faith is the whole truth and nothing but the truth than those who had been born in it. Not so G. B. Stern. The story of her conversion from Judaism to Roman Catholicism, the ensuing complications in her life, the varied reactions of her literary friends, and her early questionings and doubts are told with great humor. And her developing acquaintance with the saints of the church particularly Francis de Sales, Thomas More, Thomas Aquinas, Therese de Liseux and Benedict Joseph Lodre is described as a delightful adventure. Here is one who has ""a good time"" practising her faith.
