KIRKUS REVIEW

An ex-president of the Advertising Club of New York has collected his introductory remarks of famous speakers who have appeared at that club, with also a few suggestions on how to open an address, how to keep the interest of the audience, etc. Full of hoary old anecdotes, used since time immemorial. Whether intended for professional speakers (who already know all the tricks) or for beginners in the field (who can get more expert advice elsewhere), this book seems to me to fail of its purpose.
