KIRKUS REVIEW

The everyday drama of waiting to greet Daddy as he comes home from work is a jolly game in this little book, as Ann and Peter guess by the noises in the street how Daddy is coming home. Could he be coming on a coal truck, putt-a-putting on a motor-cycle, screeching in an a fire-engine, tinkling in on a junk cart, etc? But Daddy comes home on a bus and the children knew it all the time.
