KIRKUS REVIEW

Live story of today, with the strong emotionalism, tightly handled, that one has come to expect from Gale Wilhelm. This is the story of Dick and Goby; Dick's return home for ten days after heroic air action in which he was wounded; Goby's initial refusal to marry him, because of his mother, and subsequent elopment, and the few days together before his return to the front. The fear, impermanence, insecurity of the times partly offset by the strength of their love. But the story seems scarcely more than an episode. Gale Wilhem has dexterity for this type of thing.
