KIRKUS REVIEW

Let's Start Cooking (1951) was Garel Clark's first invitation to the joy of cooking for the small fry and aimed at a slightly lower age group, the read-alouds, than this. Branching out here to include more complex items like whole simple meals-casseroles, broiled chicken etc., there is still the same inspiration to cook for the fun of it. And, well planned as a wholesome repast, it is garnished with happy drawings of onions, mixing bowls and young chefs by Leonard Kessler.
