THE CIRCUS by Garth B. Follett

Effective though somewhat flashy merchandise, in a pull-out panorama picture series of a circus. We should have seen this last Spring, so as to suggest tie-in with circus in town, and in that connection the age level would be higher, as first time at the circus small fry would enjoy it. To the critical eye, the drawings seem crude and awkward, and the verses undistinguished -- the whole effect is more or less poster routine, not simple enough in color areas. But to the four to six year olds, the sturdiness of format and the recognition quality makes appeal.
