KIRKUS REVIEW

Another hyperkinetic action story follows The Wrong Side of the Sky 961, p. 410) and tails Bill Cary, a floatplane pilot-surveyor in Finland in his involvement with (a) a softspoken southern gentleman's search for bear- or something larger- on a lonely stretch near the Russian border; (b) his sister's attempt to find him (c) two plane accidents and three murders and (d) a lucrative potential in forged sovereigns and a mythical buried treasure. Fantastic, yes, but handled with self-possession so that what may seem like an overloaded circuit does not spark anything except excitement. Try the Canning audience- they will be attentive if not absorbed.
