HOLD THAT TIGER

The experiences of a lifetime of breaking and training tigers for the circus. An orphan and an early career in training as a nurse, but the circus urge was too strong and tiger training her only ambition. She had to work with lions first and was clawed and clawed repeatedly but she eventually got her tigers, and landed with Ringling as a star. Stories of her many pupils, with never a word of blame for them when they turn on her, demonstrations of grit and courage. No distinction but interesting reading along the lines of Clyde Beatty's The Big Cage.
