This book, written by the army's recently retired top missile-and-ballistics man, Major General Medaris, tells the story of the missiles race of the last five years. Much detail of missile development is included here in a text which is essentially a warning to the United States that unless men of decision and intelligence are allowed to carry out a balanced rocket program, the lead in the space race will soon shift decisively toward Russia. Those with a strong concern in space flight will read this with interest.
