THE SECRET BRAND

The branding of Sherwood as a rustler- at the age of 13, takes him out of the state but he returns some years later when he wins a ranch at cards off Jim Yancey. But the transition from gambler to rancher has its dangers and he faces the enmity of Yancey's brother, of the son of the man who had scarred him for life, of a rustler in preacher's clothes, and it takes a forest fire to smoke most of this trouble out....
