With the death of a beautiful heel, a California ad agency and particularly one of its men- Hugh Gordon, come into the sphere of suspicion, as do their love lives and two girls competing in a contest sponsored by the agency. Gordon, to cool off the hot spot he is in, probes other possibilities, identifies the killer before the police. A certain forced vivacity- but that's about all.
