It's all about a cauliflower festival's advance publicity. Bill Bailey, Booneville, California's gift to Public Relations comes back to the old home town to direct the promotion. Tim Taradash is his Henry Aldrich-sized assistant. Together they, demonstrate how to cream a cauliflower festival. Fantastic stunts come off as duds and its all hysterical-shrill rather than the intended hysterical-funny. Like the antique cars used as the motif for the event, the dialogue is all revved up, the situations are enough to keep a summer replacement TV series spluttering along (lightweight love with canned laughter) and the denouement's predictable--bands playing, the parade, and just plain folks up to their teeth in a cauliflower success. The book is dedicated: ""To Martin Cole, who deserves more.
