KIRKUS REVIEW

Mr. Olson, author of Bonus Boy (1963, p. 191, J-79) and other fine titles, has dropped far below his usually high, self set standards in his latest which seems like a video serial spelled out in unremarkable prose. The hunt for a murderer may be hot, but the plot is not, moving at a heel-dragging pace. Too little background information is presented; too much of the action is carried by what the 17-year-old narrator is thinking; -- in short, it's a shallow, surface job from an author who has done and can do better.
